Kids Birthday Party Ideas
We always want to make our kids birthday parties the best, and memorable
of course. There are lots of choices you have to choose from. A good
place to start is with what your child is already interested in. If you
have already done all of his or her interests you can try some of our
ideas.
If you have a baby that is about to turn one this will be their first
birthday and you want to make it great. If your baby loves Baby Einstein
you can create a great party with these characters. You can also go with
a princess party for a girl or a cars and truck party for a boy. You
want to also have lots of activities for the babies to do. A great idea
is bubbles, this is easy on the budget and they love them. You can give
out favor bags to all the babies also; you may want to use a favor bag
that the babies can play with afterwards rather than a disposable bag.
Ideas to include in them would be; a bath toy, bubbles, a small stuffed
animal, a board book, a textured ball and anything else you can find
that is fun and colorful. When it is time for the party be flexible
because as you know one year olds are usually on their own schedule.
Have the babies in a circle and sing songs with them maybe include some
puppets for visual effects too. Get some musician instruments, let the
babies bang and hit them they will love it. You may not want to have a
complete meal prepared but rather finger foods for the babies to enjoy,
and the adults.

For older children you can have a more structured party with more
activities. You can have a structured plan for the party but you should
be ready for changes. It is fun to try and tie the meal in with the
theme of the party. Be creative with the invitations to the party; make
them correspond with the theme and fun. Have the party set up before all
the kids arrive. Have the table set, the party favors ready and all the
activities ready too. Here is a list of some party themes you could use;
- Tea Party Princess Party
- Pirate Party Beach Party
- Barney Party Bratz Party
- Magic Party Sleepover Party
- Clown Party Firefighter
- Cowboy or Cowgirl Party
- Sports Party (baseball, basketball, football, volleyball,
soccer, tennis, track, swimming, etc)
- Your child’s favorite character (Batman, Cinderella, Barbie,
Elmo, Harry Potter, etc)
- Animal or Bug Party (what ever their favorite animal is)
Your Child’s favorite place to go (a city, a zoo, a museum, etc)
- For teenagers a pant ball party would be fun
Another fun idea may be to base the party on a present you have
purchased for your child. If you have purchased a present that is going
to be a very significant item in the child’s life you may want to base
the party on that theme and then the present will be the icing on the
cake. If you are going to have contests at the party be sure you have
some cool prizes for the kids. The food and the cake should all be ready
before the party so you don’t have any unexpected surprises during the
party. Most of all have fun with your kids and they will have fun too. |
